The Nick Craft Yellow Ball Trophy competition, saw 42 Seniors take part in cool, breezy conditions, but at least it stayed dry for a change! This is a team Stableford competition, the best two scores to count on each hole. The yellow ball is played in turn by each player and counts double for the player on that hole. If the yellow ball is lost, it ceases to count double!
The greens were tricky after the recent maintenance, but there were some excellent scores in. It certainly helped the scores if you didn't lose the yellow ball! One team lost their yellow ball on the first hole and inevitably came last!
The result was as follows:
1st - Gary Hill, John Thompson, and Richard Fowell - 127 points - the trophy winners
2nd - Tiny Holmes, Colin Farrington, and Rob Gullis - 122 points
3rd - Mike Collins, Dave Burns, and Ken Ackroyd - 116 points
