Lady Captain’s Day was held on Sunday the 3rd of June. It was an AM AM competition played over either 18 holes or 9 holes. In addition, there was a Texas scramble for the gents.
The Lady Captain had asked the ladies to dress in teams of one colour and was amazed at how they turned up to play. The winners where Jo Pearson, Helen Long, Joy Stepney and Ina Wood. The winners of the best dressed team were the wedding ladies who were Marji Thompson, Sheila Mason, Ann Bartlett and Irene Cogger. The men that won the Texas scramble were Nick Routledge, Rob Bartlet, Sean Hale and Andrew Doubleday.
The halfway hut helpers were friends Lady Captain; Sharon Farrelly, Kirstin Hughes and Bryony Marshall. Sharon’s sister made a lot of cupcakes with a golf theme to them, coffee and fruit cake and we served Pimms for the day. This all seemed to go down very well.
Following play, the ladies were served a lovely meal and the presentation of prizes.
