The Seniors played in a "Shambles" competition on Tuesday. 51 players played in teams of 4. The shambles format is similar to a Texas Scramble, except that, after the best drive is chosen, all players play their own ball from the best drive position and the two best Stableford scores count on each hole.
Paul Nash holed an ace on the 21st, meaning that the best drive was a hole-in-one and therefore both Paul and one other team member both scored a hole-in-one! The team score on that hole was 9 points on a par 3, 5 for Paul who gets a shot, and 4 points for the 2nd player who unfortunately (for him!) didn't get a shot and only scored 4 points!
The team of John Newton, Paul Nash, Keith Bowers, and Alan Addis went on to win the competition with an amazing score of 101 points!
Well done Paul! (and the rest of the team of course!)
