At a recent ceremony held at Bishops Grosseteste University by St Barnabas to celebrate staff, volunteers and supporter achievements, Belton Park Golf Club was presented with the award for “Outstanding Contribution and Support”.
The club over the last few years has raised nearly £50,000 for the charity through its annual golf charity tournament. A major organiser of the event, past captain Nick Maltby, together current captain Colin Mason, collected the award from St Barnabas Chairman Robert Neilans. Nick commented “Our charity golf day has raised substantial amounts for many local charities and St Barnabas is a very popular and respected recipient of our fundraising”.
St Barnabas Hospice opened its doors to its first patient over 35 years ago. Over three decades later, more than 80,000 people have received free, high-quality, compassionate end-of-life care and support across Lincolnshire.
